 Registration is now open for 2010 Track & Field season and runs thru July 2010.

 We are currently training athletes from Elemantary, Middle & High School.  

 


 

The Altamonte Striders is offering a youth Track & Field program for 6 thru 18 year olds. 

 

This is a great experience to meet new people and have fun while you exercise. We encourage parents to join in on exercising; this is a program for the whole family to take part of. We have fun activities for all. Participants will learn about fitness, nutrition, sportsmanship and proper running techniques. All of our athletes will have a chance to compete at various meets. Everyone is encouraged to enter

 

Our level of training is a whole different level compared to other clubs. We train and condition our athletes to excel in all sports. We prepare our athletes for all the fundamentals of Track & Field events, Cross Country, 5K Road Racing and Race Walk. We train for strength, proper technique, endurance, stamina and to live healthy lives with character.

 

Our coaches take top priority in each child’s success. Every athlete is important to us, so we accommodate and personalize routines for optimal results in a safe and healthy manner without sacrificing the experience of having fun. Not alone raising their performance levels beyond their personal bests with ease. 

 

Our character development includes integrity, respect, courage, sportsmanship, responsibility, teamwork, commitment, discipline, leadership and perseverance.

 

*Perseverance: Never give up on your tasks, your mission, or your dreams. 

 

  

*Our next Cross Country season starts September 2010 and and ends December 2010.

Sanlando - Optional conditioning days  
Wooded state park with winding jogging trails.

Practice times will be from 5:00pm to 6:45pm. *Weather permitting!   
  - Bring water ( Hydrate! Drink water before coming to practice! )

  - Bring running shoes ( *No spikes )
  - Bring proper running attire
  - Bring a signed waiver form ( Download a copy from the Club Registration tab )
  
 Our daily practice schedule will include;
  1). Warm up session
  2). Stretching exercises
  3). Running session for endurance
  4). Cool down and stretching exercises
  5). Core strengthening exercises
 
We do promote the parents to actively assist with the execise sessions!
